Buffalo Ridge Road: County Line to Buffalo Creek

Buffalo Ridge Road Project Update

The project was let on May 23, 2017 and the contract has been awarded to L.L. Pelling Co., Inc. of North Liberty, IA for a cost of $1,167,562.94. The project consists of a 3.5” asphalt overlay from the Linn-Jones county line to the bridge over Buffalo Creek just south of McNamara Road. A schedule has not been submitted by the Contractor to date. As per the contract, the late start date for the project is August 28, 2017. The project will take approximately 4-6 weeks for completion.

The contractor has finished paving the mainline road. They are now placing fillets at entrances and paving at intersections. Road shoulders will also be placed.

The contractor started paving yesterday and they stopped between Maxwell Road and Burlingham Road. The have resumed paving again this morning. The road will remain open to traffic with the use of flaggers and a pilot car. Even though the road is open delays should be expected.

The contractor did not start this week as originally planned. They now plan to start on Monday August 14th. Traffic will remain open throughout the project with the use of flaggers and a pilot car. Although access will be available delays are to be expected.
