Spencer's Grove Road Bridge Replacement

Spencer's Grover Road Bridge Project:

The project for a 40'x80' continuous concrete slab bridge was let on November 21, 2017. The contract was awarded to Jim Schroeder Construction, Inc. of Bellevue, Iowa for a cost of $527,219.65. The project will take approximately 4 months to complete. The contractor has provided a tentative start date of March 1, 2018.

The contractor plans to complete the culvert replacement project by the first week in July (2nd-6th). The road will remain closed to all traffic at the culvert location.

The bridge project is complete, but Spencer's Grove Road is still closed to through traffic. The culvert replacement project 1/4 mile west of the bridge will be starting tomorrow.

The bridge replacement project is expected to be complete the week of June 11th. The box culvert replacement project 1/4 mile east of the Benton County line is expected to begin the week of June 11th. The two projects are scheduled so Spencers Grove Road will remain closed at the bridge and culvert location. The culvert project is expected to take 3-4 weeks. The concrete overlay project on Spencers Grove Road and N Center Point Road is scheduled to begin in mid/late July.
