N Center Point Rd & Spencers Grove Rd Update

The project was awarded to Croell, Inc. of New Hampton, Iowa at the cost of $3,559,007.46. The contractor plans to start construction in late June and work is expected to take approximately 10-12 weeks. More details will become available as construction nears.

The bridge on Spencer's Grove Road is complete. The culvert replacement on Spencer's Grove Road immediately west of the bridge is currently underway. That project is expected to be completed by the first week in July (2nd-6th). The paving project on Spencer's Grove Road and N Center Point Road is expected to start in mid-July. More details will be available as construction nears.

The bridge project on Spencers Grove Road is expected to be complete the week of June 11th. That same week, the box culvert replacement project is expected to begin. The culvert replacement is 1/4 mile east of the Benton County line and is expected to take 3-4 weeks. This project will keep Spencers Grove Road closed at the culvert location. The concrete overlay on Spencers Grove Road and N Center Point Road is expected to start in mid/late July. More details for the concrete paving project will be available as construction nears.

Linn County crews plan to start ditch grading work along Spencer's Grove Road this week. This work is being done in preparation for the concrete overlay scheduled to begin later this summer. The work is being completed in the ditch and is not expected to close the road. However, traffic should prepare for minor delays.
