Milburn Road Project Update

The asphalt overlay project on Milburn Road was let on March 27, 2018 and was awarded to L.L. Pelling of North Liberty, Iowa for a cost of $574,364.08. The contract specifies a late start date of August 13, 2018 but an exact start date has not been determined yet.

The contractor has provided a tentative start date of June 25th. The project is expected to take 6-8 weeks to complete. Milburn Road will remain open to traffic during construction, but delays should be expected. As a reminder, if you are a County resident you will receive a rock taper at your driveway to transition from the new asphalt road down to your existing entrance. If you are interested in paving your entrance please contact me directly for details.

Linn County crews will be closing Milburn Rd from Sanden Rd to Rapid Ridge Rd for a culvert replacement. Milburn Road will be back open by the end of the day today.
