Milburn Road Project Update

The asphalt overlay project on Milburn Road was let on March 27, 2018 and was awarded to L.L. Pelling of North Liberty, Iowa for a cost of $574,364.08. The contract specifies a late start date of August 13, 2018 but an exact start date has not been determined yet.

The contractor plans to finish the last of the entrance work today. The contractor has scheduled the pavement markings to be completed Wednesday (18th) - Friday (20th).

Once the pavement markings are finished the project will be complete. Please contact me with any questions.

The contractor is working at the Milburn Road and Tower Terrace Road intersection today. There will be a lot of activity and flaggers in this small area. Avoiding this intersection is recommended today and tomorrow.

Pavement markings may not be completed by this week as originally thought. I will update you once there is a reliable schedule.

The contractor plans to finish intersections and entrances today. They will be placing rock shoulders and rock in entrances Monday and Tuesday next week. There is not a scheduled date for pavement markings yet, but it will likely be late next week.
