Edgewood Rd Project: Tower Terrace to Toddville Rd

1 Alert
June 1, 2017 1:35 PM

Edgewood Road Project Update

Culvert and grading project from a point a half mile north of Tower Terrace Road to County Home Road.

Latest Update:

October 19, 2017 7:23 AM

The project is getting close to completion. The contractor plans to finish placing rock this week and place grass seed Friday (20th) or early next week. There will be some minor clean up work remaining, but the work should be completed and the road opened in about 1-2 weeks.

Edgewood Road will not be seal coated this fall as originally planned. It is late enough in the year and the cooler temperatures are not warm enough to apply a seal coat. The oil would not bond properly and the seal coat may not last through the winter. Linn County crews plan to apply calcium chloride to the rock to help control dust. This will not eliminate dust, but will greatly reduced it.

Edgewood Road is tentatively scheduled for a concrete overlay in 2018. Depending on the overlay schedule we may seal coat the road early in the year or we may just wait for the concrete overlay. That decision is still to be determined.

Please contact me with any questions. Thanks for your cooperation.
