IOWA CODE SECTION 48a.39- Information about individual registrants obtained from voter registration records shall be used only to request the registrant’s vote at an election, or for another genuine political purpose, or for a bona fide official purpose by an elected official, or for a bona fide political research, but shall not be used for any commercial purpose.

A person who uses registration information in violation of this section commits a serious misdemeanor.

All requests must be made in writing and are available on the following media: Paper, disk, CD or labels or by e-mail. Requests may be made at the Election Office and are filled in the order they are received. Requests may be picked up at the Election Office or transmitted via e-mail. Payment is due when the request is picked up at the Election Office. E-mail orders must be prepaid.

The cost of the requests varies according to the different type of media and number of requests selected. There is a minimum cost of $10.00 to run all requests.

A PDF of the directory can be e-mailed for free. This directory lists the street name, house number range, voting precinct number and polling place.
