Iowa Drivers License Reinstatement
Sheriff's Office - Sheriff Brian D. Gardner
To be considered for reinstatement of your Iowa drivers license, you will need the following:

  • Complete the Linn County Sheriff's Office Financial Affidavit (see below).  You need to complete this form in its entirety.
  • Provide the Linn County Sheriff's Office with your two (2) most recent pay stubs.
  • Provide the Linn County Sheriff's Office with a valid form of identification.

Drivers License Reinstatements will not be granted without a DOWN PAYMENT to be determined by our office.

Once you have all of the above-required documentation, call the Linn County Sheriff's Office Financial Division at (319) 892-6232 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) to schedule an appointment.  You must bring all of the above-required documentation to your appointment.
