Wakema Lodge is located in the heart of the City of Center Point - easily accessed off Interstate 380 in NW Linn County. Wakema Park is one of Linn County's earliest projects with most of the park development occuring in the 1960s. In 2007-2008, a major playgound/patio complex was constructed adjacent to Wakema Lodge - greatly enhancing the this 5-acre park for visitors of all ages! The lodge features 1500 sq. feet of space with a full kitchen and indoor restroom facilities. There is NO AIR-CONDITIONING OR HEATING in this lodge, however, the large fireplace can "take the edge off" a chilly or blustery day.
The user capacity of this facility is limited, primarily due to the available parking within the park of only 24 spaces. Interior seating capacity is considered to be 50-60 people - banquet style. There is a lighted, large exterior hard-surfaced play area directly outside the main door - providing several hundred square feet of additional use area.
