Auditor Joel D. Miller, CERA

I am your County Auditor.  I am an autonomous elected official of the County.  I exercise most of my duties independently of the Board of Supervisors and other elected officials.  I manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Auditor with the assistance of deputy auditors and managers.  The Office is comprised of multiple departments and 19 full-time employees.  During major elections, we employ up to 50 temporary employees and over 600 precinct election workers.  We work as a team!  ---JDM

Our vision:  Every person engaged in local government.

Our mission is to provide exceptional customer service in a cost effective manner, to ensure fairness in the elections process, to maintain accurate financial records, real estate data, and Board minutes.

One of our goals is to be the most open and transparent government office in the State of Iowa.

Auditor's Open Records Policy (effective 11/1/2002; reaffirmed 2/3/2010)
