Auditor's Office - Auditor Joel D. Miller

I am your County Auditor.  I am an autonomous elected official of the County.  I exercise most of my duties independently of the Board of Supervisors and other elected officials.  I manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Auditor with the assistance of deputy auditors and managers.  The Office is comprised of multiple departments and over 50 employees.  We work as a team!  ---JDM

Our vision:  Every person engaged in local government.

Our mission is to provide exceptional customer service, to preserve integrity and fairness in the election process, to maintain accurate financial records, real estate data, meetings minutes, and to maintain county buildings in a cost effective manner.

One of our goals is to be the most open and transparent government office in the State of Iowa.

Auditor's Open Records Policy (effective 11/1/2002; reaffirmed 2/3/2010)
