Statement of Election Costs for 2010 Primary Election.


RESOLUTIONS

Resolution suspending taxes for 44 Linn County residents as they are unable to contribute to the public revenue by reason of age, infirmity, or both.

Resolution approving the removal of a stop sign and place stop signs at the intersection of Lucore Road and Indian Creek Road.

Resolution approving Hastie First Addition, Residential Parcel Split Case PS-10-10.

Resolution approving Temporary Use Case TU-03-10 to allow an outdoor fundraiser event for the Linn County Democratic Party at 5305 Walford Road, Fairfax, Iowa, to be held on August 28, 2010, 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m

Resolution approving the use of Linn County Roads for Joann Carnahan, event organizer of the 2010 Brown Farm Pioneer Days Wagon Train, sponsored by Central City Historical Society, for a wagon train on Saturday, July 17, 2010, departing from Brown Farm Historical Site, 1361 Sawyer Road (County Road E16), traveling on Sawyer Road, Boulder Cemetery Road, Maxwell Road, Wapsi Banks Road, Boy Scout Road, Game Club Road, and Jordan’s Grove Road.


CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS

Authorize chairperson to sign the following agreements: Linn County FY10 Provider and Program Participation Agreement with The University of Iowa; Country Life Health Care, Inc. Additional Services Agreement with Linn County (x 2); Agreement for Services for Covenant Medical with Linn County; Linn County FY11 Provider and Program Participation Agreement with the following agencies: JW Baker, Communication Services for the Deaf, Evergreen Estates, Garnett Place, Home Instead Senior Care, Keys to Awareness, Living Center East – New Horizons, Mercy Medical Center, Trish Nelson, REM Iowa Developmental Services, Tailored Living, Tanager Place, Victory Family Counseling, Work Opportunities Unlimited.

Authorize Chairperson to sign a REVISED Amendment #4 to the FY10 Local Public Health Services Contract #5880CO57 to increase the contract by an additional $1,577 in Home Care Aide funding.

Authorize Chairperson to sign the Agreements between Linn County/Local Homeless Coordinating Board and the following 13 Agencies/Programs for Phase 28 Emergency Food & Shelter Program funds in the amount noted as follows: ASAC Heart of Iowa Food Pantry: $5,000, Cedar House Shelter: $1,500, First Lutheran Saturday Evening Meal Program: $4,000, First Presbyterian Sunday Evening Meal Program: $4,000, First United Methodist Church in Marion “FLY” Program: $10,000, Foundation 2 Street Outreach Program: $1,600, Foundation 2 Youth Shelter: $5,500, Green Square Meals, Inc.:$10,000, Mission of Hope Shelter: $4,000, Neighborhood Meal & Enrichment Program: $9,500, The Salvation Army’s Meals with Love Program: $9,000, Waypoint Services Madge Phillips Center: $5,000, Willis Dady Emergency Shelter: $6,000.

Authorize John Brandt, Executive Director of Linn County Community Services, to sign the FY11 Empowerment Contract-Nurturing Parents in the amount of $114,903.

Authorize Chairperson to sign two Options of Linn County Worksite Agreement (Leased) between Options of Linn County and the Linn County Board of Supervisors, effective July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011.

Discuss and decide and authorize Chairperson to sign the Contract for Transportation Services between the City of Cedar Rapids (Cedar Rapids Transit) and Linn County (Linn Co. LIFTS), contract period beginning July 1, 2010 and continuing through June 30, 2011.

Discuss and decide on options for 2040 transportation plan.

Discuss and decide on computer allotment policy and departmental budgetary charge-back for obtaining new computer outside of original time plan.

Discuss and decide on resolution in support of Hwy. 100 Bridge TIGER II grant application.

1) Contract Construction Manager - Discuss and decide on issuance of RFP for contract construction
services manager to assist with construction of County buildings.
