QUESTION
Is a building permit required for siding, roofing or replacing windows in Linn County?

ANSWER
Yes. Alterations and repairs require building permits. Certain work is exempt from permits, for example: painting, papering, tiling, carpeting, cabinets, countertops and similar finish work.
