Witwer Trust Grant Applications Now Available from the
Linn County Board of Supervisors

(Cedar Rapids, IA – November 2, 2009) — The Linn County Board of Supervisors announced today that applications for the 2010 Witwer Trust grants are now available. Non-profit organizations in Linn County may apply for grant funding for projects that improve the quality of life for Linn County residents. This year, $80,000 is available.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. December 15, 2009.

The grant awards are distributed from the proceeds of a trust established by Weaver Witwer, a well-known Cedar Rapids grocer and landowner who died in 1979. This is a competitive grant process.
