Here are some commonly asked questions about the mailer our office sent out to roughly 3,000 people who may be legible to apply to have their voting rights restored.

How long does it take to get a response from the Governor's Office?

It's about 30 - 45 days.

Where can I get more information about getting my rights restored?

It's best to call the Governor's Office at 515-281-5211 or look at information online at: https://governor.iowa.gov/services/voting-rights-restoration.

I didn't get a letter but can I get one?

I have a friend or relative that would like a copy?

You can print the letter and the application off. If you don have access to a printer, please call our office 319-892-5300 EXT 1 and the information can be sent by mail.

I received a letter in the mail but I have been voting?

Call our office at 319-892-5300 EXT 1. Our office is happy to check your registration and address any further questions or concerns.
