Mental Health Access Center
A Mental Health Access Center will open soon in Linn County. The Access Center will provide 24/7 care for those experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis that requires immediate attention.
Linn County is one of nine partners in the East Central Region (ECR) which provides comprehensive mental health and disability services to eastern Iowans. This partnership allows individuals access to a regional base of services to address their needs. The nine counties pool their resources together to provide a core set of services to help improve the health of Iowans.

Daily stress caused by COVID-19, physical distancing, the August 10 derecho have had a big impact on our community. It is normal to experience feelings of isolation, anxiety, and uncertainty in this abnormal situation. Additionally, the events of the last year have only intensified feelings among those living with poor mental health or a mental illness.
