COVID-19 Vaccine Phase 1C

On January 25, 2021, the Iowa Infectious Disease Advisory Council recommended priority populations for Phase 1C, which include individuals 65 years of age and older and individuals 64 years of age and younger with underlying medical conditions that are or may be an increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19. These priority populations are different from CDC’s Phase 1C recommendations.

  • Governor Reynolds announced on January 21 individuals 65 years of age and older are eligible in Phase 1B.
  • The Iowa Department of Public Health announced on March 4 Phase 1B would be expanded to include individuals age 16 to 64 with underlying conditions.
