Due to the number of positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations across the country and locally, Linn County has closed most buildings to the public to help reduce community spread of the virus and to help ensure continuity of County services.
The Nurturing Parenting Program is a family-based parenting program promoting healthy and nurturing family relationships. The research-based curriculum is a tool to assist parents in learning appropriate skills to raise their children and provide a safe and loving home environment.
Linn County Nurturing Parenting Program Staff will come to the family home or a mutually agreed upon safe location at a convenient time. Sessions are tailored to each individual family and take an average of three to six months to complete. Participation is voluntary and free until the family is confident in their parenting abilities.
To participate in this free service, families must:
Have a child in the home age 5 and under
Live, work or attend school in Linn County
Have their children living at home (not in foster care)

Being a teen parent
