Alburnett Community School District
The Alburnett Community School District is putting a new Revenue Purpose Statement on the ballot. A Revenue Purpose Statement is a ballot measure that describes how school districts can spend penny sales tax funds that the State of Iowa has dedicated to public schools. This will not be a new tax.
This only needs a simple majority to pass (50% plus one).
Voters in the Alburnett School District may vote at one of the following vote centers:
- Alburnett United Methodist Church - 221 S Main Ave, Alburnett
- Hiawatha City Hall - Community Room - 101 Emmons St, Hiawatha
- King of Kings Lutheran Church - 3275 N Center Point Rd, Cedar Rapids
- Robins Community Center - 265 S 2nd St, Robins
Vote centers will be open on election day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Marion Independent School District
The Marion Independent School District is placing a public measure asking for approval of General Obligation Bonds ($31,000,000).
This measure needs a super majority to pass (60% plus one).
Voters in the Marion Independent School District may vote at one of the following vote centers:
- American Legion Post 298 - 625 31st St, Marion
- Ascension Lutheran Church - 2210 Grand Ave, Marion
- Christ Episcopal Church - 2240 40th St NE, Cedar Rapids
- Gospel Light Baptist Church - 305 2nd Ave, Marion
- Marion City Hall - 1225 6th Ave, Marion.
- St. Paul's Lutheran Church - 915 27th St, Marion
Vote centers will be open on election day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

- In-person absentee voting will begin on Monday, February 8 and continue through Monday, March 1 at Lindale Mall. Office hours are 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The last day our office can receive an absentee ballot request form (PDF) is Friday, February 19, 2021 by 5 p.m.
Ballots mailed back to our office must be postmarked by March 1, 2021 in order to have the ballot counted. Voters may request a postmark at the Post Office.
Early voting will begin in our office on Monday, February 8 and will run through Monday, March 1, Monday through Friday.
Early voting will be held at Lindale Mall, 4444 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids.
Early voting hours at Lindale Mall are 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On Friday, February 19, the Lindal Mall early voting hours will be 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
The deadline to request a satellite is Friday, January 29, 2021 by 5 p.m.
Requesting a satellite can be accomplished by gathering 100 signature on a petition form requesting a satellite at a location described on the petition form.
