As a reminder, County Home Road remains closed between Alburnett Road and Highway 13. Only local traffic (those who live within the project limits) are allowed to use the road. This is for the safety of the workers and traffic. The contractor is making good progress. Asphalt paving on Mount Vernon Road from O'Connor Road east to 3rd Ave NW in the City of Mount Vernon. The project is scheduled for completion in 2020.
The contractor is now placing the first lift of the rock shoulders in the rural section. This work should be completed today. They still need to place the final layer of asphalt and a final layer of rock shoulders before the rural section is complete.
