Linn County crews have finished placing the seal coat surface. There is some minor ditch work crews will be performing over the next couple weeks. Lastly, in August a contractor is going to apply a product called GSB on the road from the river bridge north to Wapsi Banks Road. The product is intended to help the new asphalt and seal coat last longer. We are only applying it on this short 1/4 mile stretch as a test section. This work will have very minimal affect on traffic.

The contractor has started applying seal coat in various locations. Seal coat has been applied to the following locations:

• Eastern Drive

• Lilly Street
• Memory Lane
• Oak Drive SE
• Park View Ave
• Rose Street

• Abbotsford Road

Road to be complete tomorrow include:

• Northfork Drive

We are using a coated chip this year to provide a reduced dust solution. The coated chips will have a black color to them appear more like asphalt. Once the road is seal coated the contractor will return approximately one week later to sweep up excess chips.
