Asphalt paving on Boy Scouts Road is scheduled for 2020.
Linn County crews have finished placing the seal coat surface. There is some minor ditch work crews will be performing over the next couple weeks. Lastly, in August a contractor is going to apply a product called GSB on the road from the river bridge north to Wapsi Banks Road. The product is intended to help the new asphalt and seal coat last longer. We are only applying it on this short 1/4 mile stretch as a test section. Bridge replacement on Central City Road over W Otter Creek is scheduled for 2020.

There is a lot of misc. work still to be done on the project. The contractor was placing more shoulder rock today and preparing for the fina concrete work. There are still rumble strips to grind, pavement markings to paint, and final grading to complete. I am working with the contractor to develop a schedule when the road will be open. The bridge replacement project on Jordans Grove Road was let on March 19, 2019 and the project was awarded to A.M. Cohron & Sons, Inc. of Atlantic, Iowa for a cost of $1,969,450.47. The bridge is over the Wapsipinicon River and a project schedule is not...
