Due to an immediate pause on the use of Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, today’s Hy-Vee / Collins Aerospace Vaccine Clinic is cancelled. The appointments that were scheduled today will be rescheduled at a later date. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Additionally, other vaccine providers using the Johnson and Johnson vaccine for scheduled vaccine clinics will pause use of Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Clinics may be postponed, or switch to the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine product. Please check with your vaccine provider if you have an appointment scheduled with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Patients with scheduled appointments for Pfizer or Moderna vaccine will not be impacted, and should plan to keep your vaccine appointment as scheduled.
The large COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled for April 17-18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Alliant Energy Convention Center will use the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. Appointments are still available for anyone impacted by the pause of Johnson and Johnson vaccine or who otherwise needs to make an appointment. For more information, or to make an appointment, visit the Community Clinics page on the Linn County Public Health website.
