Linn County Public Health Releases Annual Report

Linn County, IA – At a joint meeting on Friday, November 15, Linn County Board of Health Chair Mark Taylor and Linn County Board of Supervisor Chair Stacey Walker jointly released the Linn County Public Health (LCPH) FY19 Annual Report.

“The annual report highlights the significant work accomplished by LCPH staff and how that work helps improve the lives of Linn County residents. Our staff work to prevent disease and injury, promote healthy living, protect the environment, and ensure public health preparedness,” said Pramod Dwivedi, director of Linn County Public Health.

Highlights from the FY19 Annual Report include:

  • Together! Healthy Linn completed the Linn County Community Health Improvement Plan: 2019-2021 (CHIP)
  • Opioid Steering Committee Released the Linn County Opioid Action Plan
  • Food Rescue Project launched
  • My Care Community launched

    • 22 partner organizations belong to MCC
    • 12 members at the Steering Committee level
    • More than 5,000 individuals enrolled and signed Release of Information (ROI)
    • My Care Community partners have made more than 800 referrals using the technology platform
  • LCPH continues to build local public health system data use capacity by strengthening relationships with law enforcement, medical examiner’s office, and local health and social service organizations
